Private AI Fit Assessment

Find out whether, and how, a specific AI workload can run within your constraints, before you buy hardware or sign an implementation contract.

Request an assessment From $1,500 · Typically 1–2 weeks

Who it is for

IT, engineering or operations leaders with a defined workflow and a constraint they cannot relax: data that must stay inside approved infrastructure, a cost ceiling, or an offline requirement.

Engagement journey Four stages: Assess gives a decision, Pilot gives evidence, Deploy gives a service, Operate gives ongoing support. You can stop after Assess or Pilot, for example to stay hosted. Performance Rescue is a separate entry for existing deployments that joins at Deploy. Stop: stay hosted, or not yet A valid, paid-for outcome Performance Rescue for existing deployments 01 Assess → Decision 02 Pilot → Evidence 03 Deploy → Service 04 Operate → Support You are here Engagement journey Assess gives a decision, Pilot gives evidence, Deploy gives a service, Operate gives support. Each stage stands on its own and ends in something you can use. Stopping after an assessment or pilot is a normal, paid-for outcome.

The problem it resolves

Teams are asked to "do AI privately" without a clear workload, a data-flow map or a cost model. Decisions end up being made from vendor claims and generic benchmarks.

What we need from you

  • One bounded workflow and an accountable sponsor
  • A description of the data involved and where it may be processed
  • Representative example tasks or questions (anonymised is fine at this stage)
  • Existing infrastructure, identity provider and any hardware already owned
  • Rough usage pattern: users, peak concurrency, document volumes

What you receive

  • Written workload definition and success criteria
  • Deployment-boundary map: where documents, prompts, embeddings, logs and outputs are processed
  • Two or three candidate approaches, including staying hosted where that fits
  • Cost model with cash flow and annualised cost shown separately
  • Provisional hardware sizing range with stated assumptions
  • Go / no-go recommendation, the risks still open, and what must be tested next

Not included

  • Implementation or production changes
  • Testing on your confidential data (that is the pilot)
  • Legal advice or a compliance opinion. We document the technical controls your advisers will need

How the result is accepted

  • Every recommendation states its assumptions and evidence status
  • The cost model reproduces from the inputs you supplied
  • The boundary map is reviewed by your IT owner

Commercial structure

From $1,500, typically 1–2 weeks. Excludes hardware, taxes and third-party licences. Final price is fixed in a written scope before work starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the assessment just a sales call for implementation?

No. It is a paid, standalone deliverable. Legitimate outcomes include "stay with your current hosted solution", "move only this one workload", or "fix retrieval and permissions first; a different model will not solve this".

Do you need access to our confidential documents?

Not for the assessment. We work from descriptions and anonymised examples. Testing on real documents happens in a pilot, inside an environment you approve.
