What is Beam search?

A text generation strategy that explores multiple candidate sequences simultaneously, keeping the top-k most probable sequences at each step. Produces more coherent and higher-quality output than greedy decoding but is slower and uses more memory. Rarely used in interactive local chat but useful for translation and summarization.
